Welcome to Saint Rita, a community of learners, believers and friends. We are a San Francisco Archdiocesan Catholic elementary school, serving pre-school through eighth grade, centrally located in Marin County. Since 1957, Saint Rita has provided children with an extraordinary education. We are committed to the complete development of children intellectually, morally, socially, spiritually, and physically. Our school of 170 students promotes strong, rigorous academic standards, a values-centered, Christian based education, and an enthusiasm for lifetime learning. Saint Rita maintains and nurtures a family environment in a safe community of experienced teachers and staff who know and care about each student.
We continue to invest in our students and expand our programs as seen in our new pre-school program, music and Spanish programs, and the addition of our school garden. Our middle school departmental program is in place for sixth-eighth grade students. Extended Day Care is available before and after school to support our families.
A student at Saint Rita School will be prepared with the tools and skills needed to succeed in high school and beyond.
As a community of learners, believers and friends, we are called to share in the message of Christ and are dedicated to building a community of respect, responsibility and kindness.
With the belief that the following tenets aid us in accomplishing our education mission, we strive to:
Address the spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional and physical needs of students; establish a strong and active three-way partnership between home, school, and parish;
Regard each student as a unique person who possesses individual learning styles, special talents, and extended capacity for learning, and who is entitled to rights and dignity;
Create a school environment that fosters self-discipline, motivation, self-esteem, inclusion, a belief in one's potential, & enthusiasm for learning that lasts a lifetime;
Provide a clean, neat, safe, and positive place to learn;
Continually update our curriculum strategies, and professional growth based on the needs of students, parents, and faculty; help students develop an appreciation for the arts as well as skills to express creative talents;
Stress students' awareness of health concerns and provide learning necessary to pursue a healthy life; Stress a character-based curriculum that focuses on courage, integrity, respect, concern for others, curiosity, and leadership;
Develop students' awareness of the responsibilities of full citizenship.
